What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that the website saves on your device while you browse. Some are essential for the shop to work (cart, payment, language); others help us understand how the site is used or show you relevant communications. Alongside cookies we may use similar technologies, such as pixels and the browser's local storage.

1. Technical and necessary cookies

These are needed for the site to work and do not require your consent. You can block them in your browser settings, but some features (cart, checkout, account login) may stop working.

  • Shopify (shop platform): cart, currency and country management, security and checkout. Examples: cart_currency, localization, shopify_client_id. Details: Shopify cookie policy.
  • Consent management: stores your cookie choices so we don't ask you on every visit (e.g. _tracking_consent).
  • Seal Subscriptions: management of coffee subscriptions.

2. Analytics cookies

These help us understand, in aggregate form, how visitors use the site so we can improve it. They are only activated with your consent.

  • Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd): visit statistics. Examples: _ga, _ga_*. Google privacy policy.
  • Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd): heatmaps and page-usage analysis. Examples: _clck, _clsk. Microsoft privacy policy.

3. Marketing and profiling cookies

These measure how well our campaigns work and show you communications that match your interests, including on other websites and social networks. They are only activated with your consent.

  • Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd – Facebook and Instagram): conversion measurement and advertising. Example: _fbp. Meta privacy policy.

How to manage your consent

On your first visit a banner lets you accept all cookies, reject them or choose by category: without your consent only technical cookies stay active. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page.

You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge.

Data transfers outside the EU

Some providers (for example Google, Meta, Microsoft, Klaviyo and Shopify) may also process data outside the European Union. In these cases the transfer is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

Your rights

You can ask at any time to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, object to processing and withdraw your consent, by writing to info@essentziacoffee.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
